Małopolska, recognizing necessity of developement the vocational education, has focused efforts on improving its quality through the implementation of the regional comprehensive project, implemented in partnership with the authorities conducting vocational education in Malopolska.
Carried out an action strategy provides comprehensive support for vocational education in the region through the use of instruments available in The Human Capital Operational Programme. It is one of the first this type of complementary projects in Poland, involving the simultaneous support of students of vocational schools and cooperation with enterprises.
Implemented activities lead to increase the attractiveness of vocational schools, extension and improvement of educational opportunities, equip students with qualifications which help them to find a place in the labor market and the proper preparation of education personnel, training in occupations critical to the future of Malopolska. It will not be possible without a better match vacational training to the market realities and to correlate the schools development with the needs of employers.
Project is implementing in partnership with the bodies leading of vocational schools, which are primarily counties (district) of Malopolska. Students of these institutions will be able to attend in practical classes, occupational counselling consultation and learn professional terminology in foreign languages. The project also allows retrofitting schools in technical and didactic equipment which are necessary for the implementation of planned activities.
Project "Modernization of initial vocational education in Malopolska” gives also an opportunity to engage employers in the process of staff training. The cooperation of educational institutions and businesses enable to create of the vocational training system that will suit the economy of the future. Thanks to the funds allocated under the project, employers may have to forge partnerships with schools and local government, financing some of the initiatives from the project.
